A multi-issue 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Institute for a Progressive Nevada (IPN) educates on key issues and policies affecting all Nevadans. Through strategic communication efforts we use new media outreach, e-advocacy, traditional organizing, and proven earned media strategies to empower, engage, and mobilize Nevadans to build a state where everyone has a fair opportunity to succeed.

Our communications efforts are at the heart of everything we do. IPN touches on nearly every Nevada-related issue at some point in our work. In 2022, we’re working on public lands, voting rights, social justice, healthcare, mis- and dis-information targeting Latinos and Spanish speakers, and so much more. We’ve doubled our focus on gun violence prevention since the mass shooting that rocked our state in 2017. In light of the Supreme Court rulings this year we are also looking to involve people who have reproductive rights stories. We coordinate with our partners through the latest messaging, tools, training, education efforts, and research to make Nevada a better place for everyone. We are the communications hub for the progressive community across our state.

Through joining our Story Bank Project, volunteering, and interning you will be helping us by writing letters to the editor, doing media interviews, among other fun things! We need YOUR help to uplift the voices of real people who are being impacted by various issues.
