STATE LEADERS TO HOLD HEARING ON PRESCRIPTION DRUG AFFORDABILITY
The Nevada Legislative Committee to Conduct an Interim Study Concerning the Costs of Prescription Drugs will hold the third of four hearings on July 1, 2020
LAS VEGAS, NV – Nevada legislators will hold the third of four hearings to explore opportunities to lower the cost of prescription drugs and make medications more affordable for Nevadans.
About the committee: Senate Bill 276 of the 80th Legislative Session directed the Legislative Commission to appoint a committee to conduct an interim study concerning the costs of prescription drugs and the impact of rebates, price reductions, and other remuneration from manufacturers on prescription drug prices. The committee also examines opportunities and options for lowering the costs of prescription drugs to make those drugs more affordable for Nevada residents. The committee will report its findings and recommendations to the Legislative Committee on Health Care and the 2021 Session of the Nevada Legislature. You can read more about 2019’s SB276 here.
